I apologize to anyone who keeps up with this blog. I have been terrible at updating it! So here is my first attempt at updating it during the remainder of 2011. I have several family photos shoots coming up over the next few weeks, so I have plenty of new photos to post for you viewing enjoyment.
First I give you a few of my favorites from a sweet little newborn named Cora Belle. We tried a few new ideas with her. She was wide awake for most of the shoot, and we still managed to capture some fun images.
Welcome

Bridal Shower Love Birds
This cake was made for a very dear friend of mine. She is getting married in March, and I am honored to be one of her bridesmaids on that very special day. The bridal shower theme was birdies, and I made the cake to look like the invitation. The birds are supposed to be going in for a kiss, but I kinda think they look like they might be yelling at each other...lovingly of course. ;)
Baby Bubble...was a girl!
The parents to-be chose not to find out the gender for their little bundle of joy, so they named it"bubble" during the pregnancy. I thought that name was super cute! This onesie cake included colors for a boy or a girl, since we didn't know the gender. And her theme was duckies and bubbles.
It's a Hoot!
I am really loving the new "owl-themed" trend going on right now. I think little owls are so cute! Here's another recent baby shower cake with a cute owl to hoot!
My first Wedding Cake Order...
...almost killed me, but I survived! The bride is a friend from college and high school, and she wanted a simple four-tiered bride's cake. The groom wanted a Chicago Cubs themed cake. I knew it was going to be a huge task to complete, but wow! Let's just say I didn't get much sleep during that week. Overall, I think they turned out pretty good. And I learned some valuable lessons along the way for the next wedding cake order (if I ever get brave enough to take on another one!)

Veroneeca and Lance are getting married!
I just love this couple. Veroneeca and I sat in the same pod for over a year when I worked at BP. We became very close and I'm so thankful for our friendship! She will be marrying Lance this month, and I'm so excited they have asked me to be apart of their day as their wedding and engagement photographer! Congrats to Veroneeca and Lance!
